Writers of Metuchen was formed in January 2003.
Solitude is essential in the writing process. Our
skills are strengthened and our minds inspired, however, by the encouragement and supportive goading we receive from one another.
May every writer, from the beginner to the advanced, enjoy the sort of nourishing connection to other writers as is enjoyed
by the Writers of Metuchen.
Our goals as an organization include encouraging promising young
writers and advancing the careers of local writers and artists. To that end, we invited submissions for the Writers of Metuchen
anthology from writing groups and individuals in the area in an attempt to foster a sense of literary community among both
aspiring and accomplished writers.
